ETHEKWINI residences in chaos and displacement due to the cause of an unforgiving fury of deadly floods, storms and wind measured at 70km hit the coastline this week Tuesday.
The KwaZulu Natal MEC for Department of Health, said “King Edward Hospital is where most damages happened especially in Intensive Care Unit “ICU” and patients were taken to other hospitals and they have to start rebuilding from tomorrow, and the rescue team is still working 24/7”.
Cllr Zandile Gumede eThekwini Mayor said “this is far one of the biggest disaster in eThekwini. Experts and municipality workers will work harder in order for people to get back to normal life”. She further thanked Eskom for giving them four (4) top engineers to guide load shedding.
Since the beginning of this year, the month of February, July, August, September and October have attested to the reoccurring visitation of disaster by stormy floods.
Its exit each time has left chaos and casualties for dwellers of KwaZulu Natal, Durban in particular.
